About OIC
According to its official website, the organization was established on September 25, 1969. Regarding the motive, it has been stated on its official website that -
"The Organization is the collective voice of the Muslim world. It endeavours to safeguard and protect the interests of the Muslim world in the spirit of promoting international peace and harmony among various people of the world."
On its website, it has been noted that its establishment took place following "the criminal arson of Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied Jerusalem." Here, the organization is clearly claiming that Jerusalem, where Al-Aqsa Mosque is situated, is occupied by Israel.
What OIC said about communal riots reported on Ram Navami in India?
On April 4, 2023, the OIC issued a statement criticizing India. It stated that on the occasion of Ram Navami, violence and vandalism targeting the Muslim community were observed in several States in India. It further stated that it denounces such provocative acts of violence and vandalism, which are a vivid manifestation of mounting Islamophobia and systemic targeting of the Muslim community in India. It further stated that the OIC General Secretariat calls upon the Indian authorities to take firm actions against the instigators and perpetrators of such acts and to ensure the safety, security, rights, and dignity of the Muslim community in the country.
Retaliation from the Indian Government
After the statement, Indian Government slammed and called it OIC's anti-India agenda. While criticizing the claims, the spokesperson of the External Affairs Ministry, Anand Bagchi, said, "We strongly condemn the statement issued by OIC Secretariat today regarding India. This is one more example of their communal mindset and anti-India agenda. OIC only does its reputation damage by being consistently manipulated by anti-India forces."

Ignoring of actual facts by OIC
Although police have not revealed the names of the attackers, it has been clearly seen in the videos of attacks on the Ram Navami procession that members of a particular community attacked the procession. Nearly all attacks were reported in Muslim-majority areas. Moreover, according to media reports, all violence was first instigated by a particular community. The OIC has ignored the actual facts and called it violence targeting the Muslim community. The OIC has not even conducted any survey and blindly targeted India on its international platform. To hide the attacks on Hindus and the behaviour of Muslims in India, the OIC may have given statements to malign India and the Hindu community internationally.
