Genocide of Shia Muslims under Islamic rule
It has been popularly propagated that Islam means peace and that all Muslims are bound together by ties of Islam which they call ummah. However, it is observed as a half-truth. One can observe significant conflicts in the Muslim community in their majority countries. The reason behind this is sectarian differences in the community. It has been proved since the formation of Islam. After the death of Prophet Muhammad, Islam was divided majorly between Shia and Sunni Muslims. Lakhs of Muslims belonging to both factions were beheaded and bombed for having faith in their particular sect. Each Islamic sect considers itself a true Muslim sect in Islam, and other sects as untrue and kafirs (infidels).
